Why FCEC?

FCEC’ programs ensure that your English language proficiency is of the highest caliber. Our syllabus is multifaceted and gets results. Students that study at FCEC recognized as topnotch English communicators.
1. All books, study guides and teaching materials are adapted from USA and UK Education Programs. Our textbooks are selected from only the most esteemed book publishers in the United States. Quality textbooks help achieve quality educational results.

2. Curriculum focuses on Reading, Writing and Grammar with a special emphasis on honing Listening and Speaking skills. This is carried on from Level 1 (Beginner) through to level 12 (Advanced level). The structure for Level 12 is 50 per cent of the curriculum is geared to the preparation for TOEFL and the other 50 per cent is to enhance Academic Writing expertise.

3. With 10 to 14-student class size, each student receives ample individual attention. FCEC creates and strengthens English speaking atmosphere both in the classroom and on the school compound. Students are required to speak English 100 percent of their time at school. Additionally they study with Native English Speaking teachers and are assisted by their Khmer homeroom teacher.
In the rigorous ESL program students are given HOMEWORK on Fridays and their reading, writing and speaking proficiency evaluated in Midterm and Final Exams. Before advancing to the next level the students need to achieve passing scores on the exams.

4. From level 3-12, students are taken on educational field trips to historical sites around Cambodia: for example visiting the National Museum or Angkor Wat. Upon returning, students are tasked to write a description of what they have seen and learned from the excursion.

Vision
First Class English Centre (FCEC) a school which has superior quality education in accordance with national and international standards.
Students who graduate from First Class English Centre (FCEC will acquire first-rate intellectual training, a comprehensive basis of general knowledge, English, Computer, and other scholastic skills to succeed in both regional and international labor markets. The students will achieve educational distinction in accordanc e with USAIS’s slogan: “FCEC, trusted education service.”

Mission

To achieve the vision above, the FCEC has set the mission to improve the educational field by offering both educational excellence but also important life skills to the students. They will be proficient in diverse fields such as analytical thinking, logic, reading, writing, speaking, and being self-confident in their studies through the three main programs:
1. General Education- starts from grade 1 to 12.
2. General English Program- starts at Pre-school and goes to level 12.
3. Computer Training Course. (Future plan)
All subjects will be taught by teachers and lecturers who graduated from reputable learning centers and have thorough experience in teaching. FCEC conducts educational workshops on a regular basis to assist the teaching staff to achieve excellence in the classroom. Additionally, one classroom is limited to only 20 to 30 students. Students receive quality, individualized education from top-notch instructors.
First Class English Centre seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development-appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved on our students’ learning.

Goals
With a clear vision and a well defined mission for the improvement of Cambodian education, we sincerely believe that the students who graduate from First Class English Centre (FCEC) will receive the highest level education available in Cambodia. FCEC’s goal is to enhance the education and improvement of human resources in Cambodia. Obtaining a quality education is the first priority. When the students finish their studies from FCEC, they will become good citizens and leaders with high morals, virtues, and exceptional ability in general knowledge, English, computer and other skills that they can use in real life situations. They will develop abilities to effectively face the challenges and succeed in both national and international labor venues.

FCEC’s motto: ”Quality, Efficiency, Excellence, Morality, and Virtue”. Virtue” can be likened metaphorically to a Bamboo shoot growing up to be a towering, strong Bamboo forest . And that strength builds a vital Nation.
